Delta Delta Delta was
founded in Boston, Massachusetts, on Thanksgiving Eve 1888. Our founders Sarah Ida Shaw and Eleanor Dorcas
Pond, soon added another woman
to their group by the name Etta May Budd.
Etta May Budd
returned to Iowa and convinced her friends in L. F. V. (Lovers of Fun and
Victory) to merge with Delta Delta Delta. The Lovers of Fun and Victory
joined with Delta Delta Delta on May 8, 1989, and became the Delta
Deuteron Chapter.
Delta Deuteron
Chapter later dropped the “Deuteron” in their name and became known as
the Delta Chapter of Delta Delta Delta.
The Delta Chapter of
Delta Delta Delta is the longest running chapter in Delta Delta Delta
history.
